60 Movies That Can Suck My Dick Vol. 6
Newman
This Dudley Moore dud tested so badly with preview audiences, that a red-hot Eddie Murphy was hastily added in a supporting role that feels unrelated to the main narrative- something about Army tank technology and the Middle East. The dire "Defense" had none and bombed anyway, literally and figuratively. Writer-director William Huyck, a George Lucas associate, went on to make "Howard the Duck". Ouch.
Sarah Jessica Parker
De Palma
Picture "Police Academy" with security guards.
Michael Keaton's career may not have made it out of the '80s without Tim Burton. Certainly not at an A-list movie star level. That was my verdict after revisiting one of his worst films, about a NYC con artist on the run with Rae Dawn Chong. You couldn't find me someone who remembers this movie if your life depended on it. I vaguely remember a murder subplot, a lotto conspiracy, and a villainous Meat Loaf. Was this supposed to be a comedy? A complete financial and artistic failure, "The Squeeze" is one baffling, strange film.
How ironic that Mickey Rourke, who famously quit acting for five years to become a REAL boxer, was responsible for the worst boxing movie, a passion project he spent ten years developing. Mickey's ragged romance with real-life wife Debra Feuer fizzles, and his "Heaven's Gate" pal Christopher Walken wastes his time(and ours) as a corrupt promoter. An odd mix of underdog tropes and underworld sub-plotting, "Homeboy" got brutally knocked out in the first round.
Nobody wins. Debra Winger had an incredibly difficult time following her career-best work in "Terms of Endearment" with another movie worth watching.
Peterson
Moore
Here's Wesley Snipes seeing where his career would've been headed without the "Blade" franchise. I like most Jon Badham
lifeless
And so does Chris Tucker. Charlie Sheen costars, because drugs and hookers are expensive.
Costner
Guy Ritchie
Alba
Ben Affleck is trying to erase the memory. Hong Kong legend John Woo ended his relationship with American audiences after this.
Brian De Palma's companion piece to "Casualties of War" serves a grim reminder of the 2006 rape and murder of a 14 year old Iraqi girl and her family by four ghastly U.S. Army soldiers. A worthwhile underreported story, no doubt. If only it were half as effective as his earlier statement on military dehumanization. The showy fake docu-style of cinematographer Jonathon Cliff(no Wiki page) is a fatal flaw, that only generated $782,102 on a $5 million budget.
Reeves
Sandler
An overweight, wildly-overqualified Russell Crowe embarrassed himself in this
Speaking of once-mighty movie stars, I give you a grumpy, gray Mel Gibson
